BODYBOUND is a new London menswear label created by Kim Choong-Wilkins and Pliny Champion. They hope to “pump sex back into a craft that has become lust-less; using fashion as a medium for rallying against mediocrity”.
BODYBOUND have shown in London with Vauxhall Fashion Scout for Autumn Winter 12-13, and were invited for a solo show in Singapore as part of Asia Men's Fashion Week. Their collection was nominated as a finalist at Hyères Fashion Festival 2012 judged by Yohji Yamamoto, and covered by Vogue Paris.
Kim Choong-Wilkins, the designer for BODYBOUND, graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2005, prior to cutting his teeth at Alexander McQueen. After two years in the industry he returned to study an MA in Menswear at the Royal College of Art. He has worked for brands such as Ermenegildo Zegna, Alexander McQueen and most recently as the Menswear designer for Matthew Williamson. Pliny Champion, part of the BODYBOUND duo, is a photographer by trade. He brings a honed graphic sensibility which he applies to the prints and designs of BODYBOUND’s collections.
